When we first created the Turmeric Elixir we used it in drinks and smoothies. But the more we experimented with it the more we realised that it is amazing in all types of food as well.
Turmeric Elixir has become a staple in so many of our dishes, here are a few ways we like to incorporate this superspice everyday!
This delicious turmeric & cinnamon blend tastes amazing mixed into your morning porridge, bircher or cereal.
Fun fact: did you know there are different types of Cinnamon? But only one that's good for you, 'true verum' or ceylon cinnamon helps lower your blood sugar so having it in the morning may mean you don't get those late arvo sugar cravings. See more on our blog post.
Try a buckwheat pancake mix and add 1tsp to the batter.
1/2 a tsp into your scrambled eggs.
Turmeric sauteed veggies
1/2 -1tsp on your veggies before you bake.
Turmeric salad dressing
1/2 tsp in your salad dressing. Link to recipe for Tahini and Turmeric dressing
Add to any juice or smoothie. For a great detox drink in the morning. Add the Elixir to fresh lemon juice, a splash of apple cider, hot water and a touch of honey in the morning.
